A DIY barn bathroom mural has been featured on The Independent’s Facebook page.
The barn mural, titled ‘Boys Bathroom’, is inspired by a series of images that show the children of the original owners.
The original owners of the property were given a bathhouse and lived there for several years, the artist, who goes by the name of K.M., said.
The original owner of the house, the Revd William and Mrs. Ann Smith, were well known in the community and they would regularly invite friends over for tea.
K.M. told the Independent that the barn mural is a way to honor their history and to make it more welcoming to the community.
She said the original family would take their time to create the mural, as they did when it was a small cottage.
K.G. said the barn is currently being painted over to make the barn more visible, and it will eventually become a barn.
This is not a one-off, K.G.’s painting will eventually be displayed in a barn, she said.
